Worship Service Materials
If you are going to present a service at HUU, the following worship materials are available for your use.
Leading the Sunday Service: Preparing the Order of Service
The order of service is the small program we hand out each Sunday morning. As facilitator, you provide the information for the order of service to the preparer, sending it to email@example.com.
Deadline for OOS submission is 4 PM the Wednesday before the Sunday service.
Leading the Sunday Service at HUU: the Script
The document below contains guidance on leading a Sunday service and a complete script of the order of elements (the liturgy) we usually follow.
As facilitator, you will select the hymns, readings, and special elements (meditation, guest music, special activity) that you will use and insert them into the script.
You will NOT find a copy of the script on the lectern so make sure you download a copy and prepare your own script so that it reflects your plan for the morning.
You are welcome and encouraged to personalize the wording of the repeating elements of the service so that the words you speak feel natural to you.
